40th Reunion

Week End of Nov.4,5,6 2005

The week end activities are over, but the memories will last a long time. From the comments we have been receiving, everyone had a great time.  The only problem was that there was just not enough time to see and talk to everyone.
The week end began Friday evening with a get together at Jack's Rib and Ale in Neptune owned by our classmate, Joan Gubitosa Clayton. Most of the people that came were from out of town. This gave them an opportunity to renew a few old friendships and practice the quessing game of "who was who" on a small scale.
A group of about 30 met on the steps of St. Rose HS Saturday morning for a guided tour of the old alma mater.  Sean Semple, Director of Development,  led the tour and answered the many questions of those present. A lot has changed, but then, some things remained the same.
Saturday evening, at the Waterview Pavilion, was a wonderful experience for all that attended.  The food was delicious, the music lively (although after a few sets we were not that lively),and the conversations between old friends were animated.
After the Waterview a large crowd returned to Jack's Rib and Ale for more talking and reminiscing and closed the bar.
Sunday morning two dozen classmates and spouses attended the brunch at Connolly Station on F St. across from the high school.  Many of us did not want the week end to end and this afforded us a quiet time to talk before catching planes or just going back to our normal routines.
This reunion was the first one in fifteen years.  It was an exciting time for everyone who attended.  We have decided that we do not want to wait for our 50th in ten years.  We will have a reunion in five years.  The planning has begun.  Let's do it again in 2010!
